- Taken just before the move to Seattle, Washington (from Alburquerque.)
- Paul Allen wins the best award for Extreme Makeover. (He’s the scary one in the bottom right, one would have to assume that his fingernails, off camera, are 3+ inches long.)
- Miriam Lubow, not pictured (stranded home in a snowstorm), opted out of the move to Seattle cause her husband said “What are we going to follow this kid [Gates] Seattle? It always rains in Seattle.” Three years later, she made the move.
