I just *consciously* experienced my first earthquake. We’ve had a few since I first moved out here, but I’ve never felt them (the last time was over the holidays and I was out of town, the time before that, I was standing in the backroom of our office and didn’t feel it.
So I felt the table shake, it was a familiar feeling, sorta like a subway passing underneath you. Except it get stronger and my lamp started shaking. I had to ask outloud if that was an earthquake, to which Dan responded, ‘I think so.’ I then responded with an ‘awesome!’
3.4 on the Richter folks!
It made headlines onto the SF Gate “Quake Rattles The East Bay. Magnitude-3.4 temblor was centered in Berkeley.”
