I shouldn't call myself a very active meetro user or anything close to that. I'm probably more one of the guys that had downloaded meetro, found the closet user to be 80 miles away and didn't do much about it. I can absolutely confirm everything you said, meetro isn't exciting if no one is around you. Although I have to say I didn't stop using it and finally had one of those meetro-moments after I moved to Toronto. At that point, meetro was exactly to me what you've described what you wanted it to be. I found people that were living just around the corner to meet up with, that were could suggest me some nice places to hang out, where to get what or whatever the best way is to get out of town without traffic. It's been a fantastic experience, one of those I'd wish to have over and over again.
I really hope to see meetro again and I would give it any support I would be able to give.
Oh, and... uhm... A*sr*pe 2008, return of Sideshow Bob, yehaw.. I'm back, if anyone cares, mhm.
